Pipe joint is a connecting tool between pipeline and pipeline, and it is a disassembly connection point between components and pipeline. It plays an indispensable and important role in pipe fittings. It is one of the two main components of hydraulic pipeline.
Pipe joints are used for straight-line connection of instruments, in the form of socket welding or threaded connection. Mainly used for small caliber low-pressure pipelines, for parts requiring frequent assembly and disassembly, or for final adjustment of pipelines using threaded fittings. YC-LOK products are available. Metal face contact seal structure is suitable for structural form. Gasket seal structure is usually used for conveying water, oil, air and other general pipelines. It is made of malleable cast iron. In addition, the use requirements and prices are also factors to be considered when choosing.
There are many kinds of pipe joints. The commonly used pipe joints can be divided into hard pipe joints and hose joints. If according to the connection mode of pipe joints and pipes, there are three types of hard pipe joints: flared, clamped and welded. Hose joints are mainly buckled hose joints.
In the hydraulic system, the connection mode of pipeline and pipe joint is also different. The connection thread is used at the screw-in end of pipeline. Taper threads are mainly used in medium and low pressure hydraulic systems by means of their own spine tightening and sealing operations with PTFE and other materials. Fine thread sealing effect is very good, often used in high-pressure systems, but it needs to use combination gasket or O-ring for the end of the sealing work, sometimes also used copper gasket, it is more suitable for connecting pipe wall thicker pipeline, its main components are joint body, nozzle and nut. When in use, the joint body is embedded in the target, and the end face is sealed with the gasket mentioned above. The rubber seal is used between the joint body and the nozzle, and sometimes the spherical seal is used.
As the pipe joint belongs to the disassemblable connecting element, it not only meets the requirements of normal connection stability, strong sealing, reasonable size, low pressure loss and good process performance, but also meets the requirements of disassembly and assembly convenience. Therefore, do not underestimate that small pipe joint, because only its existence can support the existence of the entire hydraulic system.
